Empowering Future Innovators:
SRM University, AP and ChipEdge Partner for Semiconductor Skill Development

We are delighted to share the news of our newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SRM University, AP! This partnership is aimed at conducting skill development programs tailored for B.Tech. ECE and M.Tech. VLSI students to address the growing demands of the semiconductor industry.

Our discussions with Vice Chancellor Dr. Manoj Arora were enlightening and productive, focusing on key areas such as faculty development, placements, and strategies to enhance students’ skills to meet industry standards.

Additionally, we engaged in valuable conversations with VLSI faculty members, led by HOD Dr. Ramesh Vaddi and esteemed colleagues. Together, we explored ways to adapt the curriculum to better align with industry needs, ensuring students are thoroughly equipped for careers in VLSI & embedded systems. We were impressed by the faculty’s extensive qualifications, with many holding PhDs from renowned institutions like IIT and foreign universities.

Furthermore, our CEO, Venkat Sunkara, delivered an engaging Tech Talk for both B.Tech. & M.Tech. students, providing insights into the semiconductor industry, SOC design processes, requisite skills, and career pathways in VLSI. The students exhibited keen interest and enthusiasm, demonstrating a strong desire to pursue careers in the semiconductor field.

In a recent visit to Dhanekula Institute of Engineering & Technology, industry experts and faculty members came together for an engaging discussion on the latest trends in SOC (System on Chip) designs and career opportunities in the semiconductor industry. The visit, organized by the institution, featured a campus tour and insightful talks delivered by prominent figures, leaving students inspired and motivated.

The highlight of the event was a tech talk conducted by Our CEO, Mr. Venkat Sunkara, shared valuable insights into the rapidly evolving landscape of SOC designs and shed light on the diverse career paths available in the semiconductor industry. His talk not only provided students with a deeper understanding of the subject matter but also ignited a sense of enthusiasm and curiosity among them.

In a recent visit to V R Siddhartha Engineering College, stakeholders from the semiconductor industry engaged in insightful discussions and sessions focusing on curriculum development, placements, and career prospects for students.

The visit featured two significant sessions aimed at enhancing collaboration between industry professionals and academia. The first session saw the participation of the Head of the Department, Dr. D. Venkata Rao, and Professor Dr. Indhumathi, where discussions centered around current trends and challenges in curriculum design and student placements. The dialogue provided valuable insights into the academic framework of the institution, fostering a deeper understanding of the industry-academia interface.

The second session involved direct interaction with students, featuring a Tech talk delivered by CEO Mr. Venkat Sunkara. Transformative learning of VLSI Design with our
One-week Certification Course!

In a bid to enhance the practical knowledge and skills of third-year Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) students, SNS College of Technology in Coimbatore recently hosted a one-week certification course on VLSI design. Led by industry experts Dr. Meher Abhinav and Hanumant M from Celton Semiconductors pvt ltd. The workshop provided participants with hands-on experience and theoretical insights into VLSI, ASIC Flow, and synthesis using Synopsys EDA tools.

Through a combination of interactive sessions and practical exercises, attendees were immersed in the intricacies of integrated circuit design. By bridging the gap between theory and application, the course equipped students with the necessary skills and knowledge to tackle real-world challenges in the field of VLSI design. With a focus on transformative learning, the workshop aimed to empower students with the confidence and expertise needed to excel in their future careers.

Situated at the CIT campus in Bangalore, this newly established center is dedicated to providing specialized VLSI Certification Courses designed to cater to the needs of both freshers and students.

Our Partnership with Cambridge Institute of Technology (CIT)

We are pleased to share that ChipEdge Technologies Pvt Ltd has signed a MoU with the Cambridge Institute of Technology (CIT) to set up a VLSI training center on their campus to provide training to students and freshers , as well as to assist faculties from Karnataka and beyond.

The Synopsys Inc. Center of Excellence for Semiconductors at CIT was inaugurated by the Honorable Minister of IT and BT, Priyank M Kharge, Government of Karnataka. We look forward to collaboratively work with Synopsys and the CIT to contribute towards semiconductor workforce development.

We would like to thank Dr. Shivananda Koteshwar for driving this initiative, and we would also like to thank the management of CIT Chairman Shri DK Mohan, CEO Nitin Mohan, Principal Dr.indumathi Govindarao, and particularly R&D head Cyril Prasanna Raj Premkumar, without whom this wouldn’t have become a reality.
