The prior state of the input has no bearing on the circuit&#8217;s current state.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A combinational circuit can have as many as n inputs and m outputs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Combinational Logic\u00a0 do not use any memory. They are digital logic circuits whose output is wholly determined at any one time by the combination of their inputs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As\u00a0 logic circuits have &#8220;no memory,&#8221; &#8220;timing,&#8221; or &#8220;feedback loops&#8221; built in by default, if one of its inputs changes state from 0-1 to 1-0, the consequent output will change as well.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What are Combinational Circuits Made Of?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Combinational Logic\u00a0 are built up of fundamental logic gates such as NAND, NOR, and NOT. These gates are &#8220;combined&#8221; or joined together to create more complex switching circuits. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A decoder is an example; it translates binary code data at its input into a number of separate output lines. Each output line provides an equivalent decimal code at its output.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What are the Functions of a Combinational Circuit?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The function of a combinational logic circuit can be specified in three ways:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Boolean Algebra \u2013 This is an algebraic equation that shows how the logic circuit works for each True or False input variable that results in a logic &#8220;1&#8221; output.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Truth Table &#8211; A truth table specifies the function of a logic gate by displaying all of the output states in tabular form for each conceivable combination of input variables that the gate may encounter.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Logic Diagram &#8211; This is a graphical depiction of a logic circuit that depicts the wiring and connections of each particular logic gate that implements the logic circuit, which is represented by a specific graphical symbol in the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/chipedge.com\/best-vlsi-training-institute-in-bangalore\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">VLSI design course<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Conclusion<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Combinational logic circuits can be extremely basic or extremely complex.
